Millennium Pharmacy Systems Rings Up $40 Million

PITTSBURGH, PA -- Millennium Pharmacy Systems announced the close of a new round of equity financing, securing $40 million from a syndicate of venture capital firms.

Millennium provides contract pharmacy services to the long-term care industry.  The company said the funding will be used as working capital for general corporate purposes.

Investors in the round included lead Essex Woodlands Health Trust, Ascension Health Ventures, CHL Medical Partners, Boulder Ventures and private individuals.
